The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) and the Beijing-based Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB) will commit a total of USD 55 million to the upgrade of a key section of motorway connecting Tajikistan’s capital, Dushanbe, with neighbouring Uzbekistan.

Umarali Kuvatov, un empresario líder de un movimiento opositor al Gobierno de Tayikistán, ha sido asesinado a tiros en una calle de Estambul, informa hoy el diario Hürriyet. El empresario tayiko había formado parte hasta 2012 del círculo del presidente Emomali Rahmon y tenía un negocio de suministro para la OTAN en Afganistán.
