La puntualidad del transporte marítimo de contenedores ha mejorado en 2015 un 25% (puntualidad)

La puntualidad en el transporte marítimo de contenedores ha aumentado en 2015, con un 73% de las operaciones realizadas a tiempo, frente al 59% de media en todas las rutas y navieras con la que la industria cerró 2014. Según datos de la consultora Drewry, que en sus registros considera puntuales aquellas escalas que se producen en un plazo máximo de 24 horas después de la hora programada, el ejercicio 2015 ha sido el mejor del sector del transporte marítimo de contenedores en lo que a fiabilidad se refiere.

According to Drewry’s latest carrier performance insight report, shipping service reliability across the three core east-west trades hit a five-month peak in March with an aggregate on-time performance of 64%.

Los resultados en cuanto a fiabilidad durante el 2014 muestran una puntuación del 83,7% para Maersk, mientras que la media de la industria, elaborada con la clasificación de las 20 principales compañías, se sitúa en el 72,2%. A la naviera danesa le siguen Hamburg Süd, con un 82,2%, y CSAV, con un 77,8%.

Analyst Seaintel said 2014 was a challenging year in terms of global liner performance. Many incidents around the world had a negative impact on schedule reliability. The year started with a number of heavy winter storms on the US east coast and in the North Atlantic Ocean, which impacted port operations on the US east coast and delayed vessels to and from North Europe, respectively.

According to the analyst Seaintel global schedule reliability increased for the third consecutive month to 76% in November 2014 from 74.4% in the preceding month. This marks the highest performance recorded in 2014. Global schedule reliability in November is based on more than 10,800 vessel arrivals.

En el transporte marítimo de contenedores en la ruta Asia-Europa, sólo el 58% de las operaciones se llevan a cabo en el tiempo establecido. La escasa puntualidad del transporte marítimo de contenedores continúa siendo inaceptable para muchos cargadores, según afirman desde Drewry tras el último ‘índice de Rendimiento de Operadores‘ realizado.

According to Danish analyst Seaintel, global schedule reliability increased for the second consecutive month, as the global performance improved by 1.5 percentage points to 73.6% in April. Data from Inttra shows that global container delivery also rose for the second month, from 54.8% in March to 56.2% in April.

According to a recent report by Danish analyst Seaintel, the global schedule reliability has increased for the first time since November 2013 as the global performance improved by 4.2 percentage points to 72.3% in March this year. However, data from Inttra shows that global container deliveries rose from 47.3% in February to 54.8% in March – the first time there has been an increase since August 2013.

According to the Danish analyst SeaIntel the global schedule reliability decreased again in February, to a new all-time low performance of 68.4%, down from 69.5% in January 2014. SeaIntel’s global liner performance report for March 2014 names Hamburg Süd (Germany), with a performance of 84% as the most reliable carrier in February seen from a global perspective. Maersk Line and CSAV were ranked as the second and third most reliable carriers, with performances of 79.5% and 75.8%, respectively.
