Desde que, a finales de 2013, el presidente Xi Jinping llamara a sumar esfuerzos para construir el proyecto de la Franja Económica de la Ruta de la Seda, China se ha embarcado en la iniciativa internacional más importante de las últimas décadas, con el objetivo de estimular el desarrollo y el comercio en un vasto territorio que agrupa más de 60 países y a más de la mitad de la población mundial.

A train loaded with 112 Mercedes-Benz vehicles recently departed from Bremen (Germany) on its 14,000 km journey to Tuanjie Village station in Chongqing (China). The project was organised and started by China Railway’s special cargo services sector. The train, composed of 22 JSQ wagons, runs through seven counties and marks the official start of a vehicle import logistics train project along the Belt and Road, according to China Railways. The train runs via Germany, Poland, Lithuania, Belarus, Russia and Kazakhstan, then on to Chongqing in China. The transit time is 22 days.
